Design idea n ° 1: a living room to watch TV

For a large living room where family entertainment and television are the primary focus, anchoring the space with a comfortable seating area is essential.

In this living room furniture layout we have optimized design for function with seating in the middle, a dedicated TV area to the side, an inviting fireplace nook and leaving plenty of room to walk around. The result is a cozy living room with a fireplace and TV layout that is practical and maximizes every square inch of space while still feeling open and airy.

How to make it work

Frame your living room area with a sectional. To anchor the living room with a main seating area, a large corner corner sofa is a great anchor piece. It adds plenty of seating and faces the entrance to the room and greets people. It also leaves room for armchairs which provide additional seating. Together the sectional and chairs form a U shape which is perfect for watching TV with the family.

Make sure you don't block your windows. With window walls, use them as much as possible for natural light. Not obstructing windows with curtains or lighting in front of them allows light to penetrate throughout the space, making the living room even more airy and bright.
